Bodrum’s Gulets
Today’s luxurious Blue Voyage boats are separated into three different categories ofgulets, tırhandil sand aynakıç, but their ancestors, the workboats of Bodrum, were much more diversified, both in the form of different hull types and sailing rigs.
Cevat Şakir KABAAĞAÇLI
Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı was born in Crete on April 17, 1890. His father, Mehmet Şakir Paşa of the Kabaağaçlızade family, was an Ottoman commander and a history writer. His mother was Sare İsmet Hanım. The family circles of his uncle and his father had a great influence on Cevat Şakir’s personality. Many world famous artists were born into this family.
